Yes, that eternal topic once again!

So how about we finish this issue once and for all with one very simple change.

Let a player choose their own new base layout.

Instead of relying on blind luck to find a layout, which can affect your game for the next 3 years, just let players choose exactly how to layout the base. That way you don't spend half your time searching for the next layout and you can concentrate on playing.

Hell no. I can't think of anything worse than a world where every player has 4 x 6 touch silos, on every base.

Absolutely no skill at all required there.

where's the skill in having good players with poor layouts because of pure luck?

where's the skill in having bad players with great layouts because of pure luck?

If everyone has the same benefit, then the better players will shine. It's like formula 1 - great drivers lose because of the car they have, not because of the skill.
