Veteran Server - Feature discussion
Dear Veteran World players, and those of you interested in joining Season 2.

Since season 1 is coming to an end very soon and we´ve been busy to prepare season 2, we want to reach out to you and ask for your feedback regarding a feature thought for the season 2. The first veteran season was an exciting new experience for all of us and we heard lots of positive from all of you about it. We are excited to see the strong development, the tactics, and the engagement all of you brought to this world and make it so much fun. Now, since Season 2 is upon is, we would like to add some additional flavor and change to it, making every season a truly unique and challenging experience.

We would like to get your thoughts and feedback on a system we call "Dynamic Hubs" - Dynamic Hubs are a new way where the hubs providing Veteran Points per hour, spread across the game world, will become active and inactive over time. But how could that look like?

While hubs on the very outside of the world will always be active, the closer you get to the center of the map, hubs might become inactive and reactivate more often. When a hub is set as inactive, you cannot move on it or interact with it.

When the hub is about to activate, a countdown will start displaying the remaining time until this hub becomes active again. After reactivation, there will also be re-spawned Guardian Bases protecting the hub slots.

A countdown of at least 24 hours will indicate when a hub is about to become inactive, and once a hub is set as inactive, no VP can be gained through it. When a base of yours sits on such a hub when the counter to inactivity reaches zero, your base will be immediately destroyed.

To compensate for inactive hubs, the total number of hubs will be increased.

Please note that these ideas are drafts and are not yet considered to make it into season 2. We ask you for your feedback, thoughts and ideas of improvement to these steps.

In this post, we would like to collect your constructive feedback to it over the next couple of days. Please stick to this topic and concentrate whether this would be great to see on the Vet World, in a different manner or not at all.

We are looking forward to your thoughts.

RE: Veteran Server - Feature discussion
I find it interesting is not difficult to implement.
What is very confusing is the transition from one season to another. The understandings of the players is well diversified.
ex. The winner of the first season will play the next?
ex. What has the player achieved in the first season will lead to the following?

I believe that the game should bring the same opportunity to all players, since the form of play and the ability of each is different.
The game is extremely time consuming, as seen in the season 1 to so far champion has already left to compete a long time
I believe that as in the other worlds everyone wants to have the opportunity to take their shield here also, of course within their expectations

First of all its nice to have a new game set-up it will bring the game back to life.
but i have few questions.
1- what happens after season ends, do you hold youre funded caps?
2- to much advantage for players who have many legacy points, do you hold them after season, because the winners who stay will win again and again.
the game most be equal for all in the beginning, thats my opinion

the idea of dynamic hubs is nice, maybe dynamic poi's as well?

yes dynamic hubs and pois will be great but could we add that hub and poi sitters cannot move out inside the 20 or 40 distance from center of their base but outside of it only. That would be in order to give chances for those alliances that has not been able to hold onto any hub and pois. And also the same thing with the top 2 or 3 alliance members after the season ends they can only move out from their current location outside the 20 or 40 distance from center of their base.

Thanks for the first feedback. To answer a couple of questions here:

1. Everybody is able to play Season 2, not just the winners of Season 1.

2. The only thing that moves into Season 2 is the Legacy Points, being active in challenges, endgames, and the veteran server gives you a benefit. At this point, we consider to re-balance the effect of the Legacy Points since they might be to strong at the moment, that's not final, though.

3. How exactly the move from season 1 to season 2 will work, is something we will officially announce in the near future. However, paid items such as caps and co. will likely not move into the next season. That's something every player on the Veteran Server agrees when joining the server and accepting the very "in your face" box that needs to be accepted before anything else can be done on the server". Smile

4. Dynamic POIs are a nice idea too, probably not going into season 2 at the beginning, though.

There is a very large range in how to play this game and a monstrous difference from some players to others. Example with 2 server days there were players with 2 bases while the others took 20 days. Each player has a goal and this is not to compete with another in different conditions to know who is the best. Is a team and investment game where everyone knows what they intend to achieve. If all start over as they started the first season will be only a replay of the first, where the first stopped playing serious with 30 days server

Well we all look forward to Season 2 with the hope things can get even better. My suggestion is to add another perk that would bring the collection of crates more exciting. At the moment as you know we get power/tib/cry or credit in these crates. You never know what your getting till you have taken one so why not add 2 further bonuses Command Points or Repair Times making it 6 different items to be won once collected, and re introduce the infected bases. I also find that as the Forgotten Bases get higher you get better funds from defeating Outposts of the same Level, surely this should not be so. Having minimal 12hrs rt/100cp is a total waste of both game designer and players time, increase them from the start.

Regards
Welsh

Feedback for player ranking from Season 1:
In Season Ranking, Player Rank 2 has only 123 base kills, whereas player rank 51 has 335 base kills!!
Is the ranking system justified?
IMO player rank should be based on player's individual VP earning, not on total VP earning (which comes from Hub), otherwise always some player from winning ally will also win the player medal too
Whatever VP a player is earning from PVE/PVP/mission should get counted for season ranking, however total VP should also gets accumulated to calculate Legacy Points for next season, in this way a player having more kills will win the player medal, not the player sitting idle in the winning ally

Feedback for mission bonus:
If we see the top ally in PVE & PVP, the count is almost equal 2550 PVE & 2600 PVP, but if we look around the bonus for completing mission in PVE & PVP there is huge difference
For each PVP kill if we consider 1k VP, then for 10 base kills we will get 10k VP + around 1k mission bonus, whereas for every 10 PVE kills mission bonus is huge and its getting increased
Only few stats provided here, requesting Admin/Moderator to extract more data to balance mission bonus for PVP

Do you guys think you could re do the math on research point accumulation, it is almost impossible to finish all research in the amount of time given, and the amount of green and blue we get from posts and camps is ridiculously low, compared to the defensive strength and amount of effort to kill them

4. Dynamic POIs are a nice idea too, probably not going into season 2 at the beginning, though.
