When I try to run the UMP from Launch Base I get.

Invalid or missing par file. Please reinstall your game.

I've got the fixed launchers. I'm running the relevant programs as administrator*. But I'm still getting that error.

Windows 8.1
Processor: AMD E2-1800 APU with Radeon™ HD Graphics 1.70 GHz
RAM: 4.00 GB
System type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor

*I'm also running the relevant programs in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 3)

If your antivirus has a setting called Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS), try disabling it or creating an exception for the files you are launching.

Edit: This has been known to create issues with games on Origin (including mods). It's not an ideal solution as you are reducing the security of your system so best to re-enable the setting after you finish playing.

Unfortunately HIPS does not appear to be the problem.
