A New Chapter for Tiberium Alliances
Friends and Commanders,

We are proud to serve such a dedicated community, and are excited to write today with news of the next chapter in the life and history of Tiberium Alliances.

Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances is a fantastic game and it´s hard to find something like it out there. Over the past few years, the game has seen some great progression and features added to the game, but in recent weeks, while talking to our player community, we see many things that we could change and improve. In recent times, we just haven't had the ability to fulfill and realize all of our and your ideas, but the good news is we’ve found a helping hand.

We are happy to announce that, starting today, Envision Entertainment will partner with Electronic Arts to develop, support and conduct live operations for Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances on EA’s behalf. Who are these guys, you ask? Envision Entertainment is a studio founded in 2013 with the original creators of Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances forming the core of the team. So who else would be more suitable to develop the game further than them?

Electronic Arts will continue to provide billing and account services through its Origin™ service. Envision Entertainment and Electronic Arts will work closely together to ensure a bright future for the game.

So what does this mean for you? We will have exciting updates coming to you very shortly, and going forward introduce a wide new range of fixes, features and more. This will happen with the least impact for you, and while we are not touching any of the existing parts you are already used to, like payment system, support and the terms of service, we will instead be hard working to build a great game.

There are sure to be many questions and we have answered some expected ones in the FAQ here. However, we will certainly be providing more information very soon and maintain our dialogue here going forward. But for now please join us in celebrating this momentous event, and welcome the Envision Entertainment team that will guide Tiberium Alliances into the future with renewed dedication.

Hmm .. great. It was worth to fire ppl just to get help from them a bit later.
We had no new content for year or so, just a few fixes.

So what will be first next game feature that will be added soon? =)

To be frank with you I expected some info about real new features.
But it came out that we were promissed to be promissed, or promissing the promisses.
Or speculating about future vague promisses. =)

I play this awesome game since March 3rd 2012.
Represent unofficial community of 100+ veteran players from a few dozens of worlds. =)
Why Paladin can take 4 missle guys with rockets but cannot carry 3 slim snipers or 1 commander?

Valid questions Oto and they were expected. We know that the only thing that counts is to deliver now and we are prepared to do that. We will release the first Patchnotes already this week, which will shed some light on what's happening next. We also plan on doing a Question & Answer session to address these questions live.

So the old and the new meet up together to create something uniquely designed...a bright future indeed for the Tiberium Alliances.

First, if I am allowed to ask, what lies ahead for TA now? You obviously said new features, and this question has already been asked, but can you be more specific in what new stuff we can expect to play with? (Inb4superweapons, inb4scrin) After all, you've said there's a new update coming shortly. How Soon™ is shortly? And wait, there's more than one of them! D:

Second,
Quote:Envision will work toward modernizing some of the game’s features and bring in more players, both new and returning.
Can you elaborate?

And lastly, you mentioned "more"...what exactly "more", stands for?

"Modernizing" like reducing client overhead? Right now, my main world uses over 500MB RAM for the one tab in Chrome. Sometimes it gets to over 1GB, and I can close/reopen it to get back closer to 500MB.

Maybe we will get some upgrades? Right now, units only have one upgrade.

New features? An alliance map would be nice, rather than relying on poorly-written third-party maps. A simple map showing your bases (and areas of influence), alliance bases, allied alliance bases, enemy bases, POIs, etc., would be nice. The core program should be able to do a more visually appealing job, with less overhead, than a script. Maybe the ability to rearrange your base list without using a script.

Short events and twists like many MMO games have might be nice, things that don't effect core gameplay, but can be used by interested players to build experience or get additional resources.
Examples:
Starting December 1, defeating a regular Forgotten base may reveal that you captured a crate of Christmas elf hats that reduce support damage by 50% for personnel of the base that captured it until January 15.
January 1-31: Icestorm. You captured a weather forecast - it's getting very cold. Your base defense area is snowed over, slowing attacking units by 25%.
Sugar Rush, starting February 1: This base contained crate of Valentine's candy. Your vehicles in this base will move 25% faster until February 28.
July 1-31: Sunburn. Your forces fought valiantly during a heatwave. Your aircraft absorbed a lot of excess heat, which will radiate and damage adjacent enemy units.

Yellow Forgotten bases are "special" and the info panel gives details:
Destroy this base with an attacker at least 2 levels lower in one hit and get a 50% bonus on all resources.
This base is hosting a meeting of Forgotten leaders - destroy it and get 4 times the normal experience.
This base has an air base - defeat it and increase your attack range by 50% for 48 hours.

A 'NEW' chapter? Hopefully the final chapter?
So this makes it the 3rd or 4th developer on the game now?
How many times can you downgrade the importance of a game? I say give a couple children crayons, a piece of paper and a digital camera. Content will surely come out faster if you go that route.

Tells the truth about what the 'Players' data on the CNC World maps means. Those are players with BASES ON THE MAP. So 20,000-23,000 accounts INACTIVE in most worlds.
So, I am still showing you guys PROOF that this game is dead.

I Scoff/Scorn you EA.

Put those several developers that returned on something else. You are wasting their time by having them work on this game at all.

Seriously, hoping for a bit of new content indeed. The FA was an enjoyable change for sure.

Just like to thank you guys for an amazing game that I have been enjoying for over 2 years now!

Normally you guys announce new world in the beginning of every month, is the deal with Envision the reason you are holding back new worlds?
