So where are you from, Commanders?
It seems the Off-Topic forum is way, way too dead.

So i've been wondering- I've met lots of russians and greek players, but I have yet to see which countries are highly represented in the game.

So, where are you from?

As for myself, I am from Israel, along with a small community of 20 people in world 2 and 20 more on world 1.

Just kidding.

I'm from the Netherlands, met a few other Dutch people, but I don't think it's a majority in this game Tongue Also met a lot of Russians, so I think they are.

Well I guess there are are inhabitants of two continents that can't call themselves non-Americans. But expecting it is as bad as bad as doing it I guess, or I've missed a new internet hype that's called 'bash US citizens'. So basically you've invoked it yourself now by making that remark Tongue

Maybe it doesn't exist on the internet very much, but many parts of the world aren't too fond of the US (and a number of them have good reasons to be). There's also the "all Americans are fat and lazy" stereotype. I actually saw that one most recently while playing Starcraft II a few days ago. Undecided

The people on this forum seem to be nicer about national origins though. Angel

Well, actually Americans are nothing else than former Europeans. Remember, the really native Americans are totally in the minority. But thus, I can't really say that I have something against America. The Europeans are the real monsters.

That's an interesting take on the situation that I haven't seen before. Tongue

I noticed there are a lot Russians and Hungarians around here in-game.

@OP: Ah, that explains the abbreviation ISR. Was already wondering what it actually meant Shy

Well, since StarCraft II is mostly PvP, you can expect many taunts from annoying puberal players. Taunts are mostly targeted at someone's skills, behaviour and nationality, I think.
TA, in contrast, isn't a full scale PvP-war (yet) but consists of more PvE and alliance diplomacy, the more the reason to be nice to each other Cool
As for myself, most Americans I've met online are pretty nice, and there's much diversity among them. I can imagine why people don't like the US and particular people, though to generalize all the people in the US and call them all fat and lazy is just wrong.

I take you're from... let's say... France ?! Tongue

Oh and I hail from the Netherlands as well. Near the southeastern border with Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.
